Each 1-on-1 session, your dog will progress to performing the commands sit, down, place, heel, and recall (here) and/or addressing any unwanted behaviors. Progressions can vary from dog to dog, depending on what stage their obedience and behavior is at, so we want to offer owners the most flexible options for training their dog. The ultimate goal of 1-on-1 sessions is for you and your dog to comfortably integrate into each other's daily lives.

Virtual consults are for anyone! Whether you are new to the training methods or a seasoned practitioner. Virtual consults are great if you are seeking advice on how to proceed with your dog. You might just need someone you can trust to bounce ideas off of or someone who can point you in the right direction for particular issues you are dealing with.
Weekend Training
I use a balanced training approach for solidifying obedience training and addressing unwanted behavior. Owners and their family (including other dogs) must be 100% on-board with the training approach and tools I use. During training and real-life, we use food, praise, or whatever motivates your dog along with corrections to give your dog the right information so they learn efficiently. Below, see an image of the tools that are necessary for training your dog efficiently.
You must follow-through with the training and homework to ensure lasting results. The only magic button for ensuring your dog learns what it needs and reliably continues that behavior is consistency and holding your dog and yourself accountable.
Owners must commit to structure for themselves and their dog. Developing a routine for you and your dog will help you get the training reps in, build on your consistency, and aid your dog in learning your expectations.
There will likely be some relationship changes you have to make between you and your dog for changes to occur. For example, if you are experiencing separation anxiety and/or leash reactivity, we will address the dynamic between you and your dog during those scenarios. If I am unable to help you with specific issues, I will have recommendations for you.
All dogs shall be leashed. This is not an off-leash walk. If you wish to get your dog some additional training, we can discuss an appropriate progression to having an awesome off-leash life!
Owners shall keep 10 - 20 ft distance between their dog and other dogs at all times. I want to eliminate any incidents and unwanted interactions for all participants and their dogs. The only measure for doing this is putting distance between your dog and other dogs.
Dogs shall walk within 3 ft of their handler. Ideally, this is much less, but I know some may be having trouble with 'heeling' their dog. We can work towards a proper heel where the dog is even with or slightly behind the handler and within 12 inches.
Multiple dogs for one handler are welcome, as long as owners are following the other rules. If you are having trouble with multiple dogs, we can work out a plan for you to get where you want to be!
I recommend owners purchase a Herm Sprenger prong collar that fits their dog. For on leash work, the prong collar is the most efficient means to giving your dog guidance. If you need help figuring out which size to get, I will help you! For owners that seek any training from me outside of the pack walks, this recommendation will become a requirement.
Walks shall be 30 minutes to 1 hour. If at anytime you wish to leave, that's no problem! This is the amount of time I've set aside to help owners with their dog on-leash and to get in some exercise!
If you are intentionally causing others discomfort on the walks, you will be asked to leave. My goal is for all participants to enjoy the walk with their dog and their neighbors while getting some basic leash work in for their dog.
